The Boltonia ‘Snowbank’, Boltonia asteroids, is a beautiful perennial with clouds of small white daisies yellow centers and blue green foliage. Blooming from July through September, its eye catching beauty works great with Sedum, Russian Sage and Ornamental Grasses, not to mention being a fast grower. Boltonia ‘Snowbank’ can get as high as 5’ and as wide as 28 36”. It is best to cut this plant half back in June to promote a bushier growth. Boltonia ‘Snowbank’ needs to be in a full sun area in moist, well drained soil but can tolerate poor soil conditions. Boltonia is great for fresh cut flowers, a great butterfly nectar source and hummingbird attractor. Boltonia is the most widely planted perennial. Due to its beauty, adaptability and hardiness, it should not be left out of your garden.
