Carrot Main Crop Carrot Coral II F 1

The Coral II F 1 Carrots are promoted because of their rich flavor, resistance to forking in heavy soils, and strong disease tolerant tops. The flavored juice it produces is exquisite! Unlike many sweet, but watery European or American Chantenay and Nantes types, this Kuroda type often called Kuroda Chantenay for its shape has a deep rich flavor and outstanding yield potential. The roots weigh 2 to 3 times more than standard fresh market types and at full size this carrot remains tender, delicious and smooth. Corral II is Alternaria tolerant. Carrots do better on light, sandy or silty loams and do not require high fertility. They are sweeter when harvested after a few good frosts. The beautiful feathery foliage from your mature carrots is a good addition to the compost pile, but first use them in your vase. They make a great addtions to your bouquets.
