The Coneflower Sunrise, 'Echinacea purpurea', is an easy to grow flower that produces beautiful citron yellow daisy like flowers. The center of this coneflower starts out green and turns gold. Blooming from July to October and a major attractor to butterflies and bees and deer resistant, it is a must for any perennial gardens. With its dark green foliage, Echinacea ‘Sunrise’ stands 30 35” high with a plant spread of 18”.For best results, plant in full sun in a well drained area. Echinacea is known for its large flower heads that turn to seed in the fall. A great choice for cut flowers, adding a wilderness look to your garden, combining great with Leucanthemum ‘Becky Daisy’ or in cottage gardens, it is a definite must. Not only is it a prized perennial for many gardeners, but it is also said to be a potent medicine.
