Its foliage is variegated blue green with creamy margins, and it is a fantastic variegated holly, with very consistent coloration. Yellow and green foliage, adorned with bright red berries, looks amazing in winter. This fruit, produced by the female plant, matures to a bright red in the fall and is very showy. Honey Maid grows best in full sun, but light shade is tolerated with more open growth resulting. It prefers moist, slightly acidic, well drained soils, but it is relatively soil adaptable.
