Flavors salad dressings and vegetables and frequently included in strongly flavored dishes with chilies, garlic, onions, etc. Medicinal A lotion may be made which will soothe stings and bites. The infusion is used in coughs and whooping cough. Do not take as medicine while pregnant. Cut sprigs as soon as the plant is 6 tall. This also promotes bushiness. Harvest to the first set of leaves as it begins to flower and again in the fall. To dry, hang in small bunches in a shady area with good air circulation. Store in a tight lidded jar in a dark, cool place. If space permits in the jars, try not to crush leaves.
