Table King Acorn Winter Squash has green black fruits with thick, pale orange flesh on a compact bush plant. This squash is smaller than Ebony or Table Queen but earlier maturing with darker skin. Table King's productivity and quality compares well to more expensive hybrids. An excellent bush variety, it is one of the popular acorn squash that provides a heavy yield in a limited space. It is ideal for baking, pies and storage. Plant 6 to 8 seeds per hill spaced 3 to 4 feet apart. Space rows 3 feet apart. Thin or transplant 3 plants per hill and leave 18 to 24 inches between plants in rows. AAS 1974.
