Veronica Sonja

Veronica Sonja, Veronica longifolia 'Sonja', is a taller, strongly upright selection with fuchsia pink flower spikes that just keep on coming from early through mid summer. No staking required for this veronica! The long, narrow, glossy deep green leaves of Veronica 'Sonja' form a dense clump of consistent height, making for a fantastic presentation in the garden. 'Sonja' needs a full sun area with well drained soil. Deadhead the flowers after the first bloom to prolong its bloom time. Veronica can be used as a ground cover, in mass plantings or along borders. Try ‘Sonja' with Hemerocallis ‘Stella de Oro’ or Veronica ‘White Icicles’. Veronica is great for the first time gardener, plus it is deer resistant.
