Clematis Kullus, Clematis 'Kullus™', produces wavy light violet 5 flowers, that are plentiful on this compact, hardy and free flowering cultivar. Flowering from June to October this 5 to 6 foot clematis will be a standout in the garden. The contrasting brown stamens make 'Kullus' a prominent container plant. Clematis 'Kullus™' needs a supporting structure to grow properly. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply a generous mulch or a shallow rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Very reliable performers once established they take a season or two. The time to prune is in late winter or early spring.
