Columbine Origami Red White, Aquilegia x caerulea 'Origami Red White', is a new hybrid which boasts up to 12 weeks of blooms! Butterflies and hummingbirds will delight in the multitude of large red and white flowers on each plant. 'Origami Red White' neat and compact habit makes this new Columbine a sure winner! The spectacular colors are superb near the front of beds and borders. They can be used individually in small clumps, or massed together in combined groupings to create a stunning explosion of extended color. Resistant to deer and rabbits. The 'Origami' series was recommended by P. Allen Smith in his monthly garden guide! 'Origami Red White' is easily grown in average, medium, well drained soil in full sun to part shade. Tolerates wide range of soils except heavy, poorly drained ones. Prefers rich, moist soils with light to moderate shade. Remove flowering stems after bloom to encourage additional bloom. Keep soils uniformly moist after bloom to prolong attractive foliage appearance. When foliage depreciates, plants may be cut to the ground.
