The candle flame shaped fruit is 3 long and begin dark green and turn to red when mature. The unique flavor of 'Serrano del Sol' makes it a great choice for cooking and is not excessively hot. Being an early variety, Serrano del Sol is suitable for short season regions. Capsicum refers to a wide variety of tropical pepper plants with the genus of the same name. The name is perhaps derived from the Latin capsa, or box for the pod like fruit. They are also frequently used both chopped and raw in salads, or cooked in stir fries or other mixed dishes.
