The Cauticola Sedum, Sedum cauticola, is a succulent leaved herbaceous perennial ground cover that spreads. It has low cushions of purple edged blue gray foliage. As a bonus, starry pink flowers appear in late summer and prolong the season as they slowly turn carmine. Cauticola Sedum is well suited for hot, dry, sunny areas and works well in many different soil types. It makes a great plant for filling in around rocks or for the perennial border. Seed heads will die at season's end but remain on plant. Remove old flower heads in autumn or early spring to maintain a neat appearance.
