Solanum Juliette USDA Organic Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum 'Juliette Tomato', is a cherry type tomato that offers 1 oz. elongated fruits with glossy, red skin that clings to the vine longer than most other cherry types. 'Juliette' is very sweet and resistant to cracking. The best flavor is achieved when fruit is left to ripen on the vine until color darkens and fruit softens slightly. Easy bite size portions make it a great snack. Tomatoes should be planted outside after the last average frost date. In warm winterhot summer areas, tomatoes can be planted in early fall for winter harvest. Tomatoes prefer well drained soil that is high in organic matter. Tomatoes need at least 1 inch of water a week. Soak to depth of 6 to 10 inches when watering. They need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. If you are growing tomatoes in a pot, use plastic because it prevents evaporation and afternoon wilts.
